Bellamar Caves; Matanzas, Cuba

The photos were taken on our first full day in Matanzas, Cuba.

Cuevas de Bellamar or the Bellamar Caves are located about 3 kilometres from Matanzas.

The age of these series of caves began formation around 300 000 years old, and were later discovered in the late 1800's. The caves are made of crystalline formations and great amount of stalagmites and stalactites.
